Let’s face it the factory-fitted halogen reverse bulbs are simply not designed for performance. You see car manufacturing as all about assembling a vehicle as cheaply and efficiently as possible.
Swapping out a halogen bulb for an LED bulb might sound like a relatively inexpensive upgrade to many. However, when extrapolated out over manufacturing hundreds of thousands of vehicles, that small variance in cost will have a significant impact on profit. This is exactly why most vehicle manufacturers opt for cheaper, often low-quality halogen bulbs.
This brings us to our next point - quality and performance - a typical halogen bulb usually has an efficiency of 18 Lumens per watt of input power, as compared to an astonishing often up to 76 Lumens per watt of input power with our LED upgrades, which represents a 4.2 x increase in brightness, and less overall power consumption.
The majority of our reverse lighting solutions use a 5700k temperature for a white, modern look that will not only increase performance but also safety.
LED REVERSE LIGHT UPGRADE
Our range of LED upgrades will cover the vast majority of vehicles on the Australian market. These offer a bump in performance over the standard factory halogen globes as well as a conversion to a pure white 5700k colour temperature. These come in multiple fitment styles so be sure to double-check your vehicle's compatibility.
