Proper cleaning of your STEDI LED product requires an understanding of the relevant IP rating your lights conform to.
IP67 - Dust-tight and protects from immersion in water with a depth of up to 1m for a duration of up to 30mins at a time. Fine to do river crossing with light fully submerged. Wash your lights with a normal garden hose and clean with a soapy sponge.
IP68 - Dust-tight and sealed against immersion in water with a depth of 3m for prolonged periods of time. Fine to do river crossing with light fully submerged. Wash your lights with a normal garden hose and clean with a soapy sponge.
IP69K - Dust-tight and sealed against prolonged immersion. Can withstand high pressure, steam jet cleaning. Fine to do river crossing with light fully submerged. It can be washed with a high pressure (80-100 bar max), high temperature (80°c) washer.
Keeping lenses clean and scratch-free will optimize the performance of the light. The exterior of the light including lenses should be cleaned with mild soapy water or household glass cleaner and a soft cotton cloth to remove dirt, grime, and insects.
*Never use a caustic or petroleum-based cleaner on any surface of the light; this may cause the failure of the lenses and seals or reduce clarity resulting in a reduction of light output*
